It was a last minute decision for me and my friends to go on a double date on a Friday evening. We called in to make a booking - and voila! we got a table for 4. We reached there on time, snapped some photos and were greeted by a very friendly lady (whom I assume is the owner of the restaurant). She ushered us to our table, gave us the menu and we quickly placed our orders. The ambience was perfect - not pretentious, french in its own way and very comfortable. The food was excellent - impeccably good. The service ? Top notch. The waiter and lady that attended to us was very friendly - making us feel extremely comfortable. We even got a ring written in French translated by her French chef! The dessert is completely mind-blowing. The nice lady asked me if we would go back again - I answered - Most definitely - with no hesitation!

Decided to try C'est bon after reading great reviews about it. C'est bon is indeed C'est si bon which means it's so good - the food, the service and it's good value too. I love the ambience - nice and unpretentious. The french onion soup is good, love the crispy cheese toast. I had the chicken in red wine and it's fantastic. the creme brulee is the best I've ever eaten!

For my first foray to Melbourne, this restaurant was recommended to me. What a great recommendation it was! Food and wine were fabulous, service impeccable, I couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely be visiting Melbourne again if only to eat here.

The best food and dining experience I have had in Melbourne. This restaurant is a true find and one which I recommend to all that come to the city. They cater for all "dietary" requirements and have the best steak I have ever tasted.
Must try the caramel basket thingy that they have for dessert.
Seriously good service and food.

Three Nth Qld guys had lunch there on the Fri before Geelong won THE G/F
.....never been before...quite a large patronage, in fact nearly full of locals, great food (remember the duck is special)and a couple of serious reds, with a geogeous young lady who runs her feet off making sure we were looked after in a timely fashion.
The contingent has booked for next year, same time same day (Fri before G/F).
